Refreshments and Informal Discussions.

During the past 5 years the Town of Kent has been working to meet goals outlined by the USEPA, the NYSDEC and the NYCDEP in order to bring the Town into compliance with Phase II Storm water regulations. Among these goals are phosphorus reduction, mapping, adequate control of construction activities and town ordinances. This meeting is intended to inform Kent residents, and those in the broader community, what the Committee has accomplished during 2008 and what its goals and plans are for 2009.

Highlighting the event will be the premier of four Public Service Announcements (PSAs) the committee commissioned as part of its public education and outreach program. These short PSA’s are intended for a wide-ranging audience from school-aged children to adults and will be made available to community organizations for presentation to their members and available on the Town’s website. Plans for distribution also include broadcast on cable public access channels.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be among the first to see these PSA’s Stormwater related fliers and documentation will be available at the meeting for distribution.
